THE BIFFO ERA ABOUT TO BEGIN

Sporting Lagos will be playing their first game under new manager Abdullahi Biffo.

A lot of fans are eagerly waiting to see the lineup to understand the approach and direction of the new coach. This is an opportunity for the team to get its first away victory at the Katsina Stadium.

Sparse data shows that Biffo favors the traditional 4-4-2 formation and may play Lokosa and Paschal up front. Alukwu’s poor run of form won’t do him any favors as the coach will be prioritizing results to beat the drop at the end of the season.

In his first interview at the club, Biffo stated that the team is filled with quality players and there will be no excuses at the end of the season. Many fans doubt this but are willing to give the coach the benefit of the doubt. There is a reason he is in the dugout and the fans in the stands.

The Presence of Biffo, a very pragmatic manager will be a blessing to some players and a curse to others. Players like Lokosa, Jamil, Adeleke, Tochukwu, Odibo, and a few others will benefit from a 4-4-2 formation. Ekene Olisema will also benefit from this formation as he seems more comfortable playing in a back four than the pressure of a back three.

Presidents of different supporter clubs such as Happy Corner, Sporting Blue Waves, Fire 2, and Ultras have called for support for the new manager. It is important to get behind the team and support them to victory or we will be back playing NNL football with the likes of Tradesafe and 1472, an outcome that will be disastrous for a club of our stature.

Let’s go Sporting let’s go!!
