Remo Stars were underwhelming in their game against Kwara United. They were on the back foot from the beginning of the game to the 88th minute when they mounted a late failed comeback. They showed flashes of brilliance in little moments but were poor for a large part of the game.
Goals from Wasiu Alalade, Isaiah Ejeh and an own goal from Ahmed Akinyele were enough to give the Illrin boys all three points despite late goals from Frank Mawuena and Dayo Ojo
Remo’s hopes of winning the title have been dealt a huge blow with this defeat and may resort to prayers and permutations for things to go their way at the end of the season.
The boys from Ikene will hope to revive their title big against Kano Pillars next week.
