There is a raging discussion among enthusiasts and analysts of the Nigerian Professional Football League on the prospects of Beyond Limits playing in the NPFL next season having won the NNL Super 8 playoff.
Beyond Limits is without a doubt the youth team of Remo stars. Both clubs are owned by Kunle Soname, a football tycoon who has invested in clubs in Nigeria and Portugal.
Clause 5.0 of the NPFL framework on club ownership states that “A person is not allowed to hold or acquire a significant interest in NPFL club while holding a significant interest in another NPFL club.
Kunle Soname Is the owner of Beyond Limits and Remo Stars. Those who argue that both clubs are separate entities are wallowing in ignorance or are only attempting to be intellectually dishonest.
Before starting the NPFL 23 season, Remo Stars promoted players from Beyond Limit to Remo. Beyond Limits is considered the Junior, or the Academy of Remo stars. The promoted players are Odunsi Oluwaseun, Olisa Manuel, and Akinyele Ahmed.
There is no way that the narrative of different ownership or entities can be Presented. Beyond Limits is the academy of Remo stars and should not be allowed to break the NPFL framework.
Some analysts have pointed to Enyimba and Abia warriors as unfortunate precedents. However, that indiscipline and lawlessness were allowed in the past does not mean they must continue.
