The management of Lobi Stars Football Club has announced a two-year contract extension for Head Coach Eugene Agagbe, securing his services through the 2026 season.
Agagbe, who took charge of the Makurdi-based club in 2022, has overseen a period of steady improvement for the team. Under his guidance, Lobi Stars finished in the top half of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table last season and reached the quarterfinals of the Federation Cup.
Club Chairman Mike Idoko expressed his satisfaction with Agagbe’s performance, stating, “Coach Agagbe has demonstrated his ability to develop our players and implement an attractive style of play. We believe he is the right person to lead Lobi Stars to greater heights in the coming years.”
The contract extension comes as a vote of confidence in Agagbe’s vision for the club. The coach has emphasized youth development and tactical flexibility during his tenure, earning praise from fans and pundits alike.
