Sporting Lagos brought joy to the faces of their fans at the Onikan stadium where they made light work of Abia Warriors. Fantastic performances from Jonathan Alukwu, and Junior Lokosa gave the tech boys the needed boost in their quest for survival.

Currently 11th on the log, Sporting Lagos are still at risk of relegation. They need to continue their home form, and must become prolific bandits away by snatching points from the jaws of Lions right in their dens if they want to survive.

Abdulahi Biffo will breathe a sigh of relief with the home performance against Abia, having lost his first game at the club to Katsina United.

The next stop for sporting Lagos is Bayelsa United. Fellow strugglers and relegation candidates. Sporting Lagos must pick at least a point if they want to maintain a safe distance from the drop zone.
