The stage is set, the drums are beating, and the anticipation in Ikorodu is reaching fever pitch as the 2025 Ikorodu Divisional Football League (IDFA) reaches its climax tomorrow, Sunday, August 10th, 2025. Football lovers from across Lagos will converge at the Police Barracks Playing Field, Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu, by 1 PM for a grand finale that promises skill, passion, and drama in equal measure.
Organized by the Ikorodu Divisional Football Association, an affiliate of the Lagos State Football Association. The IDFA League has been a vibrant showcase of grassroots football at its finest, producing dazzling moments, fierce rivalries, and emerging stars destined for bigger stages.
This year’s finale will see champions crowned in both the male and female categories:
- Male Final: Alajede Active Talent FC vs Valour 1107 FC
- Female Final: Better Tomorrow Queens FC vs Buquenson Queen FC
For the men’s final, Alajede Active Talent FC come in with a fearsome reputation, spearheaded by the deadly forward Tabiti Elisha, who sits second on the top scorers’ chart with 7 goals. They also boast Obaro Victor, tied for fourth place with 6 goals, making them a serious threat in attack. However, Valour 1107 FC will be no pushovers Tajudeen Quadri, with 4 goals this season, has proven himself capable of delivering on the big stage.
The women’s showdown will be equally intense, with Better Tomorrow Queens FC and Buquenson Queen FC both eager to write their names in IDFA history.

Liameed Gafaar, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, as Chief Host. Also in attendance will be Mr. Dotun Coker, Vice Chairman LSFA, as Special Guest of Honor. Sonibare Lukman, Chairman of the Ikorodu Divisional Football Association, and Adewale Adele, Secretary of the IDFA, will be on hand to welcome fans and oversee proceedings, further underscoring the league’s importance to the local football community.
